A Natural Parenthesis

At the foot of the Coiron plateau, at an altitude of 490 m, between Rocks of Basalt, Larches and century-old oaks, a wooden hut, insulated and heated, with essential comfort. Dany and Claude welcome you all year round in their little corner of nature, quiet, on the heights and facing south. 3km from the village of Saint Jean le Centenier (small village not yet invaded by tourists: a café-restaurant, a supermarket) with a small river to cool off. Transport: Station (bus) in Saint Jean. Link with Montélimar SNCF station. A car is necessary for your stay because our gîte is far from the village. Markets and shops 8km.

The 18m² “Bata Téré” hut, in self-catering formula, hidden in a small corner of the forest, blends into nature, amazing in this place with its large basalt rocks, its cedars and its century-old oaks.

The decoration is inspired by our travels in Africa and Oceania. It includes: 160x200 bed with memory foam mattress, kitchenette (2 hobs, sink, small fridge, worktop, pots, kitchen utensils), shower and washbasin.

Private dry toilet is outside at 5 m. A large 20m² wooden terrace between rocks and trees where it is good to eat and relax and 6000m² of garden.

The cottage is 30m from our house. You are immersed in nature, you can enjoy a beautiful part of the property and isolate yourself in the wooded part depending on the summer temperature.

Simple and comfortable, this little cottage is perfect for lovers (not suitable for babies and children)

Away, but without being far from the very visited places, the village of Saint-Jean-le-Centenier is ideally located between Montélimar and Aubenas. Close to the Ardèche gorges and its famous Grotte Chauvet (Caverne du Pont d'Arc) and the Ardèche of volcanoes, it is the ideal starting point for all tourist or sporting outings.

The small roads and paths of the Ardéchois country are a delight on foot, on horseback, by bicycle (mountain bike or cycle touring) or even by motorbike. 

Exchange on vegetable garden in permaculture. (use of natural resources stones, wood, wild plants; selective sorting, recovery of objects, eco and self-construction, etc.)

- Our reception area is not suitable for children (Rocks, stairs, one-room cabin) but is perfect for couples or single people.

- The healthy and rejuvenating place in the middle of nature invites you to rest, to reconnect to the earth. You will find simple and natural attitudes to improve your physical, psychological and emotional well-being.

- Hike from the house : 2h30 Les Rochers-Mirabel loop.

- 5km away, free visit to the troglodyte village of Balmes de Montbrun.

- Many hiking trails very close : hiking, mountain biking or cycling. On your initiative and at your own pace, with the help of our IGN maps and various documentation made available to you, you will visit or hike in the Gorges de l'Ardèche, the Cévennes and the Ardèche mountains, the caves, the rivers, the castles, the villages typical wines, the wine-growing region, outdoor activities...

Cancellation free of charge up to 1 week before the stay, 2 weeks before for July and August

Cleaning costs €20 for a stay of 1 to 3 nights and €45 for a stay of 4 nights to 2 weeks.
